WWE Rumors: Timeline Emerges On When 2025 WWE Draft Could Occur

A new rumor suggests the 2025 edition of the WWE Draft will likely be saved for after SummerSlam.

This will be a busy next few months for WWE. Backlash is next week. Then, a couple of weeks after that comes the latest installment of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Followed soon after by Money in the Bank 2025. The next WWE card in Saudi Arabia, a rumored second edition of Evolution, then SummerSlam 2025 in early August.

That is probably why mysterious industry insider Wrestle Votes suggested this week that the 2025 WWE Draft won’t go down until some point after SummerSlam.

“The calendar gets a little tricky here. You’re going to get Backlash next week, you’re going to get Saturday Night’s Main Event two weeks after that. You’re going to get Money in the Bank two weeks after that. Three weeks after that, you get the Saudi Arabia show. Then, a week after that, you get the rumored Evolution show. And then you calm down a bit before SummerSlam,” he said on a new edition of Wrestle Votes Radio.

Last year’s edition of the WWE Draft came just a couple of weeks after WrestleMania 40. The annual event is considered a finale to the previous year’s storylines and sets the stage for what’s to come. So it makes sense to have the draft right after WrestleMania.

However, with so many key events coming up in a short amount of time, it is understandable if the creative team feels they won’t get enough time to put together meaningful storylines by making huge changes to the Raw and SmackDown rosters now.
