A disappointing new WWE rumor suggests next year’s WrestleMania 41 card will not include The Rock.
This year was a memorable one in the legendary wrestling career of The Rock. Over the last decade, the Hollywood superstar has only made occasional appearances on WWE content. And they would often be years apart.

However, after becoming a member of the new WWE board late last year, The Rock made more frequent appearances in the lead-up to Wrestlemania 40. And after a decade away from serious action, he actually stepped back in the ring for the first time in tag win with cousin Roman Reigns on night one of WrestleMania 40.
He has popped on WWE TV a couple of times since. The assumption has long been that he would rev up his appearances in the months ahead to build toward either a match with Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41. However, a new report claims another match for The Rock is no longer in the plans for the 2025 event.
WWE is reportedly moving forward with WrestleMania 41 plans without The Rock
“WWE has decided to move forward in creative plans as if The Rock will not appear at WrestleMania 41 — as of now,” Sportskeeda Wrestling reporter Dr. Chris Featherstone claimed this week. “I have been informed that these plans could ‘change at any moment.’ And WWE is definitely interested in using him if he becomes available, but he is not currently scheduled to compete.”
Obviously, the news must be taken with a major grain of salt. And when it comes to The Rock, plans seem to change all the time based on his availability. This time last year he was rumored to headline WrestleMania 40 against Reigns and those plans changed. He was also expected to appear at ‘Mania 39 but the booking was never finalized.
If true it will be disappointing news for fans of the “Brahma Bull.” Because at 52 years old, opportunities for him to have another match get more unlikely.
