It seems that some fans believe that TNA star Joe Hendry’s name will be said during WWE Raw’s debut on Netflix next week. And you know what that means.
Over the last couple of months, WWE has been slowly building toward their much anticipated first episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix. The January 6 edition of the show kicks off a 10-year, $5 billion deal with the streaming giant.
To make the most of the new partnership, the company has put together a premium live event-level card that includes Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa and CM Punk facing rival Seth Rollins. However, there have been various rumors about potential surprises for the event.
One popular rumor is that “The Final Boss” The Rock will make an appearance on WWE Raw next week. But some fans in the internet wrestling community are starting to believe that a fan-favorite star from none other than TNA Wrestling might make an unexpected appearance.
Could Joe Hendry appear at the WWE Raw debut on Netflix?
On Tuesday’s edition of WWE NXT, several 2024 awards were handed out. TNA star Joe Hendry was given the award of “moment of the year” for his surprising first appearance in NXT earlier this year. In an acceptance video, the Scottish star reiterated that if his name is spoken, he could appear “anywhere, anytime, and any show.”
The video was then immediately followed up by one of the company’s countless commercials to promote WWE Raw’s debut on Netflix. It could completely be a coincidence. But the twist of fate has led to a lot of speculation within IWC about Hendry walking through the “forbidden door” and on to a main roster show. That has yet to happen since WWE started their working relationship with TNA.
WWE has been very clever with how they hint at future events and appearances. So it is not completely out of the question that the Netflix advertisement right after Hendry’s statement was no accident. We will all find out if it was a coincidence on January 6.
