WWE is set to make history by taking the Women’s Revolution to the next level. This has been evident with the introduction of secondary titles on both WWE RAW and SmackDown. As for the red brand, the rumored favorite to become the first-ever champion has come to light.
A few weeks ago, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced the creation of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. This came right after SmackDown introduced the WWE Women’s United States Championship, as more opportunities for the women’s division to shine.

Since the announcement, a tournament has commenced to crown the inaugural champion. Now, a particular superstar from RAW is being highly considered to win the new title.
Which WWE RAW superstar is the favorite to win Women’s Intercontinental Championship?
According to a new report on Backstage Pass Q&A by WrestleVotes, a WWE veteran is internally a strong contender to become the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
“We spoke last week on this show about how I’d like it to be Natalya,” they claimed. “I did hear some feedback with some sentiments that were similar from sources that said they would like it to be Natalya as well.
However, the report also clarified the decision is not locked at the moment, saying “Now, that doesn’t mean it’s going to be her but there is some favoritism maybe that would like to see her win the Intercontinental Championship.”
The tournament for the new title began two weeks ago on RAW. The first-round matches have so far seen Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria win their tripe threat bouts. Furthermore, next week on RAW, Natalya will be up next, competing in the tournament. She will face Kairi Sane and Alba Fyre in a triple-threat match. The last first-round match will see Raquel Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, and Kayden Carter compete.
Whether Natalya becomes the first-ever champion is yet to be seen. One thing is for sure: Natalya could be an excellent choice for winning the tournament. Considering her veteran status and accomplishments, she truly deserves to become the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
