Following the news that Liv Morgan has landed a major role in an upcoming film, new rumors suggest Drew McIntyre will soon join her on the sidelines for a significant amount of time due to acting obligations.
This is a new age in WWE. In the past, taking weeks or months off for outside projects was frowned upon by Vince McMahon. However, the new management team now supports talent dipping their toes into other fields like acting. Well, Liv Morgan will reportedly due so in a major way with a huge upcoming acting opportunity. Yet, she may not be the only one who could soon be written off TV.
On Tuesday, PW Insider reported, “For months, we’ve heard that McIntyre is lined up for a major film role. He may very well be the next WWE talent to break into large-scale film or television work.”
The Scottish Warrior and Morgan are both represented by powerhouse talent agency Paradigm. The company has reportedly worked closely with WWE to make sure that schedules work for both sides so their clients can pursue unique opportunities outside wrestling. It is still unclear at this time what roles the pair of multi-time champions have lined up.
There were rumors on Monday that Morgan was being set up for something “big” on next week’s edition of WWE Raw. That now likely seems to be some sort of moment that writes her off television for the foreseeable future.
McIntyre seemingly looked to set up a feud with Jacob Fatu on this past week’s edition of SmackDown. If he is indeed expected to be leaving in the next few weeks, WWE will probably use his imminent departure to get the fast-rising star a huge win.
