A new WWE rumor claims Cody Rhodes was legitimately injured by music star Travis Scott during the brutal beatdown the champion received at the close of Elimination Chamber 2025.
The professional wrestling world is still reeling from the shocking events of Saturday’s latest WWE premium live event. After winning the men’s 2025 Elimination Chamber, John Cena was joined in the ring by Undisputed WWE champ Cody Rhodes, The Rock, and Travis Scott.

During the segment, Rhodes turned down the “Final Boss’s” offer to be his champion in emphatic fashion. However, everything changed when Cena stunned the world by turning to the dark side, aligning with The Rock and attacking Rhodes. Scott also took part in the group beatdown. And at one point gave the WWE superstar an audibly heard slap on his head.
Well, it seems that the extremely popular music star botched the slap and legitimately injured WWE’s biggest star.
Cody Rhodes reportedly has a busted eardrum
On a new episode of Wrestling Observer Radio this week, Dave Meltzer revealed that “Cody got hurt” during the attack on Saturday night.
“I think it was… I’m pretty sure it was Travis Scott that did it,” Meltzer said. “I heard he had a busted eardrum and a black eye.”
The slap was quite loud on the night of the event. Scott is not a trained performer. And seemed to be under the influence of some extracurricular substance when he was in the ring. It looks like he got way too caught up in the moment and did not pull his strike. And may have given one of WWE’s most important performers a serious injury.
