A new report claims that Bronson Reed joining Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker in their new alliance was not at all a part of the original plans.
One of the biggest stories since WrestleMania 41 was not only Paul Heyman betraying Roman Reigns and CM Punk to ally with Rollins, but also Breakker joining them. There had been rumblings from the fan base about whether they would add another member and who it could be. But reports have suggested that wasn’t in the cards. At least not right now.
Well, that changed in a major way on Saturday night. When Bronson Reed made his shocking return to the company and attacked CM Punk. It was then revealed that despite having a heated rivalry with Rollins last year, he was the person who chose to expand the alliance with the Australian star.
On Sunday, Fightful Select revealed that there were no plans as of WrestleMania 41 week to go beyond a group featuring Rollins, Heyman, and Breakker. Obviously, that changed once “Big” was cleared to return to action following a broken ankle suffered in November at Survivor Series.
Head of creative, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, has long been high on the Aussie. He may have decided that once he was ready to come back, the most impactful way to re-establish him was in one of the top storylines on WWE Raw. The move makes sense, and factions like this have always been about elevating talent the company believes can be future main eventers. Breakker and Reed fit the bill.
Furthermore, the Bloodline storyline is a great example of how being flexible and open to changes beyond the original plans can lead to great storytelling.
