Some major highlights of this week’s RAW saw a tremendous tag team main event match and CM Punk not being alone in his war against Paul Heyman Guys, Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Bron Breakker.

Quick Results

  • Penta defeated Chad Gable in a singles match.
  • The American Made (Brutus & Julius Creed) defeated The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) in a tag team match.
  • AJ Styles defeated Finn Balor in a singles match.
  • IYO Sky & Rhea Ripley picked up the win over Roxanne Perez & Giulia.

Best Match

The best match candidate, which was evident from the in-ring action and the loud ‘This is Awesome’ chants, was between AJ Styles and Finn Balor. The former Bullet Club leaders tore down the house with their exceptional styles, spots, and captivating moments.

It was a dream match witnessed by the WWE Universe. In the final moments, Judgment Day members Carlito and JD McDonagh interacted, but Penta appeared to neutralize the threat. That allowed Styles to connect with a Phenomenal Forearm to win the match.

Worst Match

Out of the match card, there was nothing special about the tag team match between The War Raiders and Creed Brothers. It did not get any major reaction and saw a lackluster end with Brutus Creed picking up the win over Ivar after New Day interfered.

Noteworthy Moments

One of the biggest highlights from this week’s WWE RAW was CM Punk berating Paul Heyman and his guys at the show’s start. Punk brawled with them alone until Sami Zayn and Jey Uso ran to aid him. Later on, it was announced that CM Punk and Sami Zayn will team up to face Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Another major noteworthy moment came at the end of the show. The team of IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley managed to knock off NXT Standouts, Giulia and Roxanne Perez, in the main event following an exceptional tag team showdown. As the show came to a close, Ripley eyed the WWE Women’s World Championship in IYO’s hand, hinting at coming after the title.

One more highlight of the night was Jey Uso’s faceoff with his heated rival, Gunther, after WrestleMania 41. The Ring General informed Uso that the winner of the match between him and Logan Paul at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will face him next. The match will take place on the June 9th edition of RAW.

Holy Sh!@ Moments

The only major jaw-dropping moment was the final moments of the match between Penta and Chad Gable. The duo was on the top rope. Gable flipped backwards to get off, and Penta hit a spectacular Mexican Destroyer from the top rope. That landed Gable right on his head, which might look like a scary spot, and led to his defeat at the hands of Penta.

Lowlights

Becky Lynch’s promo segment only saw her vent out some anger following her loss to Lyra Valkyria at WWE Backlash. The Man berated the fans for turning on her after she claimed success and accepted everything they thought about her, from being selfish to hating her.

Another lowlight was Bron Breakker launching a backstage attack on Jey Uso, possibly on the orders of Seth Rollins, earlier in the night. WWE officials, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk came to his aid, leaving his status up in the air as his World title match with Logan Paul inches closer.

What’s in store for WWE RAW next week

WWE RAW will see the start of the Money in the Bank qualifying matches for the RAW stars next week. However, no competitors have been announced. Apart from that, two singles matches were made official. Sheamus requested a match against Grayson Waller for next week, which Adam Pearce granted.

The other match announced was Jey Uso vs Bron Breakker in a non-title match after Breakker laid the YEET man out in a backstage assault. The last match announced for next week’s WWE RAW will see AJ Styles and Penta team up to battle Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
