Quick Results:

  • Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill successfully defended their women’s tag titles against Damage CTRL. The women of MetaFour were at ringside and made their presence felt, after they lost to the champs just the other day. Wonder if we are seeing them getting elevated to the main roster soon.
  • The returning and finally re-branded War Raiders defeated Otis and Tozawa in a tournament to find the #1 contenders for Judgement Day’s tag titles. As we were told by Tess on commentary, it was the first time the Raiders worked a tag match in over a year.
  • Bron Breakker defeated Kofi Kingston. Xavier saved Kofi from Bron post-match, which was a positive for New Day for a change.
  • R-Truth stuns The Miz with a rapid roll up, thanks to a distraction by the Final Testament. Miz had the last laugh, hitting a Skull Crushing Finale on Truth.
  • Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton versus Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez ended in a no contest when Nia Jax intervened.

Best Match:

I am giving this to the War Raiders. No, not because it was a perfect match. But because both Superstars had to come back from some significant injuries. Seeing them in a tag match was a great thing.

Worst Match:

I could complain about some short matches, specifically Truth-Miz. That felt like it could have been more, but not yet.

Noteworthy Moments:

Erik and Ivar have returned. I don’t know if the year has just been that busy, but I honestly did not think they were due back just yet. Sure, they had a bit of rust (I saw some spots less crisp than usual), but it was awesome to see them both back.

I liked the packages, but it was a bit funny to me-we had video packages for Bron Breakker, for Dragon Lee, and hyping the women’s tag titles. On a show now down to two hours, I thought it was an interesting way to use a few valuable minutes.

Jimmy was on RAW looking for backup. He found Jey, who was not happy to see his twin. He told him no, and to get out of his face. This is another reason why I am going to say that Jimmy and Roman will get help, but it’s going to either be from the family we have yet to see (Like Lance) or Sami is going to have a soft spot and bring the family back.

That, or will we see some making up next week in Philly? City of Brotherly Love? Second home of the Wise Man?

Speaking of Philly, we know that the Wyatt Sicks have eyes on The Miz. Based on their latest glitchiness, it looks like they will be in Philly. Same spot that Bray finally made his return, too.

Lowlights:

Nothing I feel like really going off about.

Highlights:

For a taped RAW, it was a good effort. Liked the War Raiders being back. Cody and Gunther had a really strong exchange, and unless I am silly, they didn’t even touch on their Rumble face off yet. Crown Jewel is going to be good, I think.

After The Final Bell:

I have to say this about Crown Jewel. That show-and all Saudi shows-have seemed disposable almost. Like yes, WWE has them, but they also know that some fans don’t like the relationship, and the timing. I remember on more than one instance either calling a show a glorified house show, or hearing someone else say that about one of the KSA shows.

This one? It does not feel like they are phoning it it. Yes, the 50 carat belts seem a bit ostentatious and just over the top goofy (never to be defended, oh so gaudy?), but we have some quality matches and WWE is making sure to really build the stories around them. This RAW went a long way toward building those stories.
