When the calendar flips to 2025, WWE will have a massive change in store. The last of the three television changes happens in January, with RAW departing from it’s long time home of the USA Network. The company has high hopes for the red brand’s new home, Netflix. It marks the streaming platform’s first foray into live, weekly sports. For WWE, it presents a likely opportunity to push boundaries a bit more like they did during the Attitude Era. It is an exciting time for WWE and it’s fans.
So who does Netflix want for RAW
We had heard stories in the past about prior broadcast partners lobbying for certain talents during the WWE draft process. FOX would want certain talents, while USA would insist on others. Sometimes, the brand split blurred a bit to make everyone happy. But when you enter into a long term and pricey rights deal, you want to have some input on what Superstars call RAW on Netflix home.
Per Fightful, no demands have quite been made at this point. But, those in charge of the Netflix side of things have voiced a desire for Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Roman Reigns to be on their show. I’d say they probably get one or two, but not all three. Further, according to the report, with just around two months until the change, no Superstar has been made aware of any changes in store for their brands just yet.

This does beg an interesting question. WWE has generally used the Draft to move talent around, outside of NXT graduations (for the most part). Considering there will be that big change in January, might we see another WWE Draft sooner than not? Or will WWE and Netflix agree to run with the RAW roster, as is, until after WrestleMania? That scenario makes the most sense, but money drives decisions at times, so this one bears watching. As we learn more about updates pertaining to Superstars heading to RAW on Netflix, we will pass them along.
