At one time, it looked like Tessa Blanchard would become a major star. For months, she had been feuding with Sami Callihan as she attempted to become the first female to win the TNA World Championship. She was unsuccessful several times, before getting the win in summer 2020. It should have been a major moment, but that was not the case.

Days before the big win, several people went public about Tessa’s behavior. Basically, she was called-out for being a racist and bully. She has denied all these allegations, but the damage has been done. Many promotions declined to have her and TNA was forced to strip her of the title because she would not defend it.

On Straight Talk Wrestling, Blanchard was honest about contemplating her life. “I was like, I don’t wanna be here anymore,” said Blanchard. “I don’t wanna live this life and I don’t wanna do this anymore. Also, I remember even imagining ways to just end it all, and my ex-husband helped me a lot through some of those moments. But, it took a lot of self-counseling too, talking to other people and just trying to get comfortable and figuring out who Tessa is outside of the wrestling world, outside of the spotlight.”

If it was not for those comments, she would have been signed by WWE or AEW. Seeing how few want to deal with her, any big offers are gone. Maybe, if she admits to her mistakes and apologizes, it could allow for forgiveness. So, will people move beyond the racism talk of Tessa Blanchard or is her career over?
