However, after the show, there was news about the Irish veteran that wasn’t exactly nice for fans to hear. According to reports, Sheamus cracked a rib during the fight. The information is a bit lean, but he is definitely going to be out for a while. It’s quite a disappointment, as he’s been looking to be the first-ever Ultimate Grand Slam Champion and now it doesn’t really seem probable.
Sheamus has been injured before but this injury may be career-threatening. He could take longer to recover than others because of the cracked rib. This couldn’t have come at a worse time for a competitor who’s put everything he’s had on the line for WWE. As he gets closer to his goal of Grand Slam Champion status, fans now face have to ask. RAW already assured there will be more of the feud, with Breakker seeking to cement his reign while Kaiser wants nothing more than to feed on gold. They could take their battle for the prized title even further in the weeks ahead.
Sheamus and Kaiser’s Career-Threatening Rivalry Just Got Personal
Actually, Sheamus’s injury may yet make their feud even more intense. Kaiser is still working his way up, but he sees Sheamus as a big obstacle. His desire to take Sheamus down has been so present that Kaiser even went as far as to say that he wants to end Sheamus’ career, making their eventual showdown even more personal.
According to WWE insiders, such as Matt Camp, the tension between Kaiser and Sheamus could be leading to a career-threatening match. However, with both competitors after the Intercontinental Championship, there is a hope of increased rivalry and perhaps Sheamus’ career in the company on the line.
Until Sheamus can heal and return to the ring and this match can happen, fans are just going to have to wait and see how this story plays out.
