WWE Survivor Series: WarGames proved to be a spectacular show for the company. The Premium Live Event took place inside the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. However, there was an interesting fact about the event to exclude many hometown heroes from the show, who would have garnered massive reactions. One of them was SmackDown’s top star, Kevin Owens, who has broken his silence on the matter.
Kevin Owens has been a major player for WWE since his debut back in 2014 in their developmental territory, NXT. Since then, Owens has ascended to become a top-tier WWE superstar, winning countless championships and accolades in the process.

The Prize Fighter has recently been embroiled in a heated rivalry with the current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. This came after Kevin Owens turned his back on Rhodes, attacking him after the end of the WWE Bad Blood PLE and, since then, eyeing his World Championship.
Amidst his quest to end the reign of The American Nightmare, Kevin Owens was left out of the Survivor Series. The event took place in his home country of Canada. This led to KO giving his response when he was triggered on the matter by a fan.
What led Kevin Owens to react to the matter of being left out of the WWE Survivor Series?
As mentioned, a fan began the conversation on X about the reason Kevin Owens was left out of the WWE Survivor Series. This was possibly due to receiving a favorable reaction in Canada. According to him, this would not have made sense to the casual viewers. This has been due to his current heel role in his feud against Cody Rhodes. Moreover, it would have proven him right, as he said on SmackDown last week in a fiery promo.
He stated, “I think the main reason why Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens were NOT on SurvivorSeries is because the show was in Canada and WWE didn’t want KO getting an overwhelming positive response. That wouldn’t look good for the causal viewers tuning in and figuring Kevin must be right.”
The former WWE Universal Champion took notice and directed the conversation towards top WWE executives, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Stephanie McMahon, and others via his X, saying, “Is this why?” KO did not stop there and finished his statement in a follow-up tweet claiming, “Doesn’t matter. The entire world knows I’m right.”
Kevin Owens has returned to his roots as a monster heel. He is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title at the upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. With his mean streak and aggressive side back, we will have to wait and see if KO will finally be able to clinch his second World title after eight years.
