SummerSlam is one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.
And this year it’s coming to Cleveland.
The news was broke by WWE star Logan Paul on his ‘IMPAULSIVE’ podcast on Tuesday.
SummerSlam 2024 is Coming to Cleveland
It’s all happening at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Saturday, August 3.
Friday Night Smackdown the night before on August 2 will happen at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
WWE also promises other events in the area that week leading up to the Premium Live Event.
WWE chief content officer Paul ‘Triple H‘ Levesque said in a statement, “The city of Cleveland and WWE have a rich history that spans decades. We are excited to bring SummerSlam, SmackDown and a full slate of events to town in partnership with Haslam Sports Group and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.”
First Cleveland SummerSlam in Nearly Three Decades
This year will mark the 34th SummerSlam in WWE history. Also, it will be the first time it has been held in Cleveland since 1996.
President and CEO of Greater Cleveland Sports Commission David Gilbert said, “We are thrilled for the opportunity to host WWE this August, as it further strengthens Cleveland’s growing reputation as a premier city to host major events in the U.S.”
“This year’s SummerSlam is expected to be the largest WWE event ever hosted in Ohio and will bring significant economic impact to our community as it highlights Cleveland’s vibrant downtown, authentic experiences and exciting attractions,” Gilbert added.
Holding the largest party of the summer at Cleveland Browns Stadium also continues a trend of holding some of their higher profile Premium Live Events in stadiums and not arenas. In addition to the company having more international shows, such as Elinination Chamber in Perth, Australia last month.
So, expect ticket information for WWE SummerSlam 2024 from Cleveland in the weeks and months to come.
