The brand is in Philly next week, and could Lita make an appearance on the NXT ECW Arena show?

This show quietly kind of came out of nowhere, and is shaping up into a can’t miss show. Next Wednesday, NXT heads to Philadelphia for a show at what is now known as the 2300 Arena. Except, for fans who know-or who spent a ton of time there, like me, it is and always will be the ECW Arena. That bingo hall at the corner of Swanson and Ritner is the home of hardcore, if you will. And yes, the show really is Wednesday, as the CW is clearing Tuesday to cover Donald Trump’s extreme victory.
Extreme surprises
Fightful revealed earlier on Tuesday that the ECW Arena show was expected to have some nostalgia acts. We knew, thanks to Halloween Havoc and Ava’s announcement, that Dawn Marie would be there. And most everyone expected Bubba Ray Dudley would find a reason to show up too (he did, as he will be Trick Williams’ tag partner). The report noted that Rob Van Dam was at this week’s show, and at least one NXT Superstar had been wishing for a match with him. RVD was there and will be in Philly too, but doing what we don’t yet know. But wait, there could be more!

The report mentioned that there was a massive women’s tag team match being set up. More important, there was an attempt to get Lita-ECW’s Miss Congeniality-on the card. By the time Tuesday’s show ended, we did indeed have a massive ten woman tag match. Both sides currently have five, so Lita may not be involved anymore. Or, it is possible that Ava makes a call for an Extreme official (though Finnegan and Molineaux are still around, as is Mike Kehner). Lita as a guest referee isn’t too bad, but I could also see someone like Kelani Jordan being taken out to make room.
Even if Lita isn’t involved, something tells me we should expect a few more extreme surprises next week. But, seeing Lita in NXT would be fun. Seeing Lita in NXT at the ECW Arena would be extremely fun.
