Charlotte Flair Details Sad State of Relationship With Legendary WWE NXT Four Horsewomen

Despite having an “indestructible” bond, Charlotte Flair admits the legendary NXT Four Horsewomen aren’t all still friends.

We are just days away from WWE Evolution 2. An all-women’s event meant to showcase the growth of the women’s division over the last decade. While legends like Trish Stratus and Lita played a role in that evolution, Becky Lynch, Mercedes Mone — FKA Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Flair helped take the division to greater heights.

All four came through the WWE Performance Center at the same time. And became close as they struggled to hone their craft and reach the main roster. They were so close that they even dubbed themselves the Four Horsewomen. After the faction that Flair’s father started — the Four Horsemen.

There have been rumblings about cracks — some notable — in that bond in recent years. Well, in a new interview with the Players Tribune, the multi-time women’s world champion revealed more details about the sad current state of the faction of one-time pals.

“We’ve definitely had our ups and downs over the years,” Flair admitted. “I won’t pretend we’re best friends. Or that we’re all even friends at the moment. I won’t pretend there’s a Four Horsewomen group chat I’ll send this article to when it publishes. And thinking about it that way, it does make me sad sometimes. But I also think it’s part of life, you know? Especially at the highest levels of professional competition.”

Although some of the close friendships between the women have fallen apart in recent years, Flair claims that no matter what happens, the bond they formed in NXT will last forever.

“The respect between the four of us is absolute. And the bonds we share are f***ing indestructible,” she said. “There’s not another person alive who knows what we’ve been through as a group, or what it’s taken for us to all still be active. And to all still be at the top of our games, as women working in a business that’s still learning how to treat women.”
