One of WWE Raw’s hottest talents is hoping for a match with John Cena during his 2025 retirement tour.
This summer, WWE icon John Cena revealed that his career will soon be coming to an end. However, instead of building to one final match, the “Doctor of Thuganomics” will be available to the company throughout next year for one legendary year-long finale.

When the news was revealed, speculation quickly started about who would be some of the final opponents for Cena in 2025. Even long-time rival CM Punk threw his name into the conversation for potential opponents. However, some of the rising stars on the roster are sure to have moments with the 15-time world champion before he walks off into the sunset.
One of those fast-rising stars let it be known during a Tuesday interview with Chris Van Vliet he is also hoping for a match with John Cena in 2025.
Bronson Reed angles for a 2025 match with John Cena
I’d like to work with CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and even John Cena,” Bronson Reed revealed. “I’m the perfect John Cena heel. You know, the matches he had with like Umaga and those guys, I’d be perfect against him. But whether that happens, I don’t know. That’s all just stuff I’d like to do. It’s up to WWE.”
After a slow start to his second run with WWE, “Big” Bronson Reed has become a featured part of WWE Raw in recent weeks. His brutal attack on Seth Rollins in August seriously elevated his profile and he has been able to maintain that momentum in the weeks since.
John Cena reportedly has 36 dates plotted out for his WWE schedule in 2025.
