WWE Hall-of-Famer Booker T believes a certain rising star has the look and style to be the next Goldberg. However, it is not the current WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker.

Multi-time WCW and WWE world champ Goldberg had one of the most unique careers in professional wrestling history. He is the perfect example of catching lightning in a bottle. He entered WCW after a failed career in the NFL and with limited training. But his impactful style and second-to-none intensity captivated the imaginations of wrestling fans.

Goldberg rocketed to the top of the industry in a way that has never been seen before. And WCW banked big profits from his success. That is why any time a wrestling prospect is compacted to him, it turns heads and makes promotions here cash register sounds.

Over the last few years, two-time NXT Champion Bron Breakker has been called the next Goldberg by many wrestling fans. And it makes sense since he exudes the same level of intensity and uses the spear as one of his primary moves. However, WWE and WCW legend Booker T believes a current NXT champion feels a lot like his former co-worker as well.

“I kind of compare him to someone like Goldberg,” Booker T said on his “Hall of Fame” podcast about NXT North American Champion Oba Femi [h/t Ewrestling News]. “Somebody that was indestructible, I mean a guy that could go out there and just run the table. Only thing that’s different is Oba Femi is actually getting a lot more in-ring time. Actually feeling the work side out a whole lot more than Goldberg.

“He came along on that same trajectory as a Bill Goldberg. Being a big guy, very impressive, looks like he’s unbeatable, unstoppable. He’s got all of those qualities. But from his infancy stages, he’s learning what it means to go out there and really truly learn the business.”

The NXT star was a part of the 2021 prospect class at the WWE Performance Center and was a Nigerian shot putt star before becoming a professional wrestler. He has been a dominant force in the developmental league and seems a lock to eventually win the NXT Championship.
