- John Cena made history Sunday night by capturing his record-breaking 17th World Championship. The champ showed up on RAW Monday night riding pretty high and viciously laid into the crowd. As he was wrapping up and holding his newly won championship high, he was greeted with an RKO by none other than Randy Orton. It seems clear that “The Viper” has his eyes set on raining on his old rival’s parade and snatching away his title. This Friday, we may get some more insight into Orton’s motivations.
- On last week’s Smackdown, the Tag Team Titles were on the line as The Street Profits defended against The Motor City Machine Guns. However, the match ended in controversy as #DIY made an appearance and stole the title belts. As a result, Smackdown GM Nick Aldis has ordered the titles to be defended this week in a TLC match featuring all three squads. Given the athleticism these teams bring and the chaotic nature of a TLC match, we can be sure this bout will be filled to the brim with highlights.
- Also on last week’s episode, a mysterious vignette was played that ended with the specific date of “4-25-25.” After Rusev’s return to RAW this past Monday, it’s safe to assume we’ll be getting another return for this Friday’s Smackdown. Fans online are heavily expecting it to be the long-rumored return of Aleister Black. Will that indeed be the case? Or will this vignette signal the arrival of another superstar?
