5. Royal Rumble
When done right, no match is more fun and exciting than the Royal Rumble. This year, both the men’s and women’s editions delivered the goods, with two very well-received winners elevating this event into one of the best of the year.
A fantastic Fatal-4-Way for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and an entertaining WWE United States Championship bout added to what was a terrific night from top to bottom.

4. SummerSlam
The WWE’s second-biggest annual event sure felt like a huge deal this year. The highly anticipated grudge match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre electrified the crowd. Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal of Rhea Ripley during the Women’s World Championship match was one of the year’s most memorable moments.
And the main event saw the return of Roman Reigns to reignite The Bloodline feud and put a hell of a cap on the evening for the Cleveland crowd.

3. Backlash France
This event featured a terrific card, with Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles and The Bloodline vs. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton as major highlights. But it can’t be overstated how much the crowd in Lyon, France added to the proceedings. Loud and boisterous from start to finish, they set the bar for any crowds to follow and made it clear that more international Premium Live Events should definitely be in WWE’s future.
2. Wrestlemania XL: Night 1
The first night of this year’s Wrestlemania set the tone for the weekend in grand fashion. Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley kicked things off with a phenomenal match. Sami Zayn got his big, singles Wrestlemania win by stopping the historic Intercontinental Championship reign of Gunther.
And then there was the main event, an epic tag team match that featured the in-ring return of The Rock teaming with Roman Reigns to take on Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. The match delivered a huge spectacle, setting the stage for the following night. And speaking of the following night…
1. Wrestlemania XL: Night 2
It couldn’t be anything but this at the top. The hype leading up to this event was enormous and it delivered on every level. The opening World Heavyweight Championship bout, featuring Damian Priest’s post-match cash-in, got the crowd buzzing. So did Logan Paul and Bayley, who each checked off the first singles Wrestlemania wins of their careers.
But this night will always be remembered for its incredible main event. Cody Rhodes finally capturing the title his father never could on the grandest stage of them all will live on as a defining moment in WWE history and the catalyst for a brand new era for the company.
