Man, who hasn’t wanted to be the Undertaker for one night in a WWE ring before? Jelly Roll got to live out that dream at SummerSlam this past weekend. The country music star was heavily advertised for the event – as a musician. He opened the show singing “God Bless America.”
In a stunning turn of events however, the country music sensation stepped into the squared circle after being called out by Austin Theory and Grayson Waller (A-Town Down Under). He was dressed in all black. Then, the segment followed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout between Gunther and Damian Priest.
Jelly Roll, known for his hit songs like “Need a Favor” and “Dead End Road,” made his presence felt in a big way. With a little help from The Miz and R-Truth (Awesome Truth), he grabbed a steel chair and used it to hit both Theory and Waller. But, the man wasn’t done yet. In a jaw-dropping moment, he grabbed Theory by the throat and lifted him high into the air with one arm before slamming him down to the mat with a powerful chokeslam.

Jelly Roll Lives Out A Dream At WWE SummerSlam
Not going to lie, as far as non-wrestlers getting involved in matches, Jelly Roll’s chokeslam at WWE’s SummerSlam was pretty damn impressive. Also, it looks like the big guy impressed folks at the front office as well. Fightful Select reports that the brass at corporate was “very happy” with his performance.
And why not? Go ahead and take a look at that chokeslam one more time.

Living Out A Childhood Dream
It wasn’t just fans and the head honchos at WWE who were happy with Jelly Roll’s performance at SummerSlam. It was the artist himself. Jelly took to social media and thanked the organization for being able to check off an item from his bucket list.
“Crazy- I lived a childhood dream tonight in the craziest way I’ve ever lived it. Wow. Man thank you @WWE for everything. What a night,” he wrote on X.
In a follow-up post, he seemed to be admiring his own work. “Absolute madness – unreal – butter biscuit bombs baby,” he wrote. Butter biscuit bombs. Sounds like Jelly Roll just named his new finisher.
