The entire world is watching the Paris 2024 Olympics. So far, the event has run rather smoothly after a hectic delay on day one. Still, there has been controversy and probably none more than surrounding Algeria’s Imane Khelif. The transgender boxer defeated Italy’s Angela Carini in 46 seconds after she quit. She was left crying and many thought Khelif should not be allowed to box females. Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 World Championships due to a unspecified gender eligibility test.

Well, Logan Paul commented on social media before deleting his messages. The messages can still be found, where Logan wrote: “This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before your eyes. A biological man was allowed to beat up a woman on a global stage, crushing her life’s dream while fighting for her deceased father. This delusion must end.” His remarks took a lot of heat, but some agreed. In the end, he opted to delete it from social media. Yet, as we know, you can never completely wipe-away something off the internet.

Now, heading into WWE SummerSlam, LA Knight was the betting favorite to win. And, he did secure Logan’s United States Championship. There are some conflicting reports if Logan’s comments played a role in the SummerSlam decision because WWE did not want to be involved in the backlash. Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select confirmed how, “Things have been quiet on that front outside of us being told that his views do not reflect that of WWE.”

Transgender athletes are causing disputes around the world, especially during the Olympics. It is not an easy topic to address. If anything, we all need to get along and treat each other with respect. I feel like the world has more important issues to tackle. Plus, the pro wrestling world is very LGBTQ+ friendly. Wrestlers are part of the communities as our fans, and nobody seems to mind. So, was Logan Paul wrong for attacking Transgender Olympian Imane Khelif or was it warranted?
