Hardy Boys Want To Restart One Of Their Legendary WWE Feuds In TNA Wrestling?

It looks like the Hardy Boys would like one last dance with one of their biggest rivals from a peak period during their WWE careers.

The Hardy Boys will go down as one of the greatest tag teams in professional wrestling history. And for many long-time fans, they are the best ever. What makes the brothers from North Carolina different than many other teams is that they are still going strong after close to 30 years in the industry.

After a disappointing run in AEW, the Hardys have become key members of the current TNA Wrestling roster. And with the company now having a working relationship with WWE, it has allowed Matt and Jeff Hardy to have the freedom of working wherever they want but also dipping their toe back in the WWE/NXT pool. However, for such legendary performers, it can be difficult to find truly worthy competition in TNA or NXT.

That may be why, during an appearance on the “Battle Ground” podcast, they suggested one of their greatest rivals coming out of retirement for one more match.

“We would love to face the middle-aged Dudleys. So as long as Bully and D-Von are ready to rock and roll, we are ready at the drop of a dime,” Matt Hardy said. “We’ll put the TNA titles up. Hell, maybe we’ll be the NXT champions. We’ll put the NXT titles up. Who knows?

“Why don’t they bring their old-school ECW titles? I’m sure they’ve got some replicas. Put those on the line.”

Both Bubba Ray, AKA Bully Ray, and D-Von have a history in TNA. The former had a major singles run as the leader of the Aces and Eights faction. Bubba Ray could probably have one more match and was actually part of a tag team clash in NXT last year. However, his “brother” has been retired for quite a few years and may not be physically up to the task.

The Hardy Boys and Dudley Boyz were part of a three-way feud in WWE with Edge and Christian. The trio’s battles were a peak period for WWE tag wrestling, and their TLC matches are some of the most beloved matches of all time.
