WWE Rumors: Hardy Boyz Done In NXT But Not With WWE Appearances?

While the Hardy Boyz may be done with their foray into NXT, they are not done showing up in WWE.

Pro wrestling is getting wild as WWE and TNA are pushing the boundaries of collaboration. Their multi-year partnership, announced earlier this year, has already delivered some crazy crossovers. Like TNA World Champion Joe Hendry’s Royal Rumble appearance. But maybe the biggest news? The Hardy Boyz back in WWE territory through NXT.

Matt and Jeff Hardy’s short but sweet run in NXT is finished. Thanks to the WWE-TNA deal, the brothers went 2–0 in NXT and capped off their stint with a big match at WWE NXT Roadblock. It looks like their appearances in the black and gold brand have come to an end, but don’t count them out of WWE just yet.

On his podcast with Jon Alba, Matt Hardy said their “little run with NXT is done” after they defended the TNA Tag Team Titles against NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom at Roadblock. But he didn’t rule out WWE just yet.

“We do have some stuff on our schedule to do with WWE a little later on down the road. Nothing specifically with NXT yet,” Matt Hardy said. When asked for details, he just added, “Just stuff. I’m going to leave it at that right now. We have stuff lined up with WWE.”

That’s cryptic enough to get fans speculating. Could The Hardys be doing something beyond NXT? Maybe even a return to the main roster?

For now, the brothers are focusing on TNA. At Sacrifice, Jeff Hardy will face X-Division Champion Moose in a ladder match and Matt Hardy will be in a 10-man cage match with reigning TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.
