Fans were left confused as to why the Hell in a Cell structure was left hanging above the ring at the Thunderdome on last night’s RAW. Xavier Woods and Bobby Lashley had a great match. But, there’s more to the story.
Why Hell In A Cell Match On RAW
As per the PW Insider, the WWE booked a Hell in a Cell match on RAW to give the USA Network something “extra”. It was also an attempt to “grab” fan attention.

The report noted this was a last-minute decision. As such, there wasn’t a lot of time to promote it.
The WWE is building towards the return of fans and live events in July. They are currently trying to boost fans’ attention for programs, and give their partners something “extra”.
Why A Hell in A Cell Match On SmackDown, And Not RAW?
According to another report, the USA Network was upset when Fox’s SmackDown got a Hell in a Cell bout last Friday. This was leading up to the HIAC pay-per-view this past Sunday.
It would also make absolute sense if this was another reason why there was a Hell in a Cell match on Monday Night RAW. This would even things out between WWE’s TV networks.
Regardless, here’s hoping that this helped with WWE’s television ratings. They aren’t doing that well, but a live audience may change that next month.
Over to news about a WWE Hall of Famer. According to a recent video that surfaced, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff isn’t doing too well.
Paul Orndorff In Very Bad Shape
Sad news in the land of professional wrestling, as Paul Orndorff’s health, has taken a turn. His son revealed a video of him recently, on YouTube.

Travis Orndorff recently uploaded a video of his dad. Paul is currently in a medical facility.
The video appears to show that he doesn’t know who his son is. His memory seems to be fading.
For those who may want to check it out, the video is below. It might be a hard watch for some fans.

Orndorff Has Battled Health Issues In The Past
Paul was diagnosed with cancer in 2011. He was able to beat the condition some years ago.
The WWE Hall of Famer was also part of a class-action suit launched against the WWE. The focus on the legal dispute was long-term injuries suffered within the squared circle.
Sadly, that case was later dismissed in 2018. Fast forward to 2021, and Orndorff is struggling with health issues.
As you can see, the video reveals Troy telling his dad he loves him. The video also shows Paul trying to give his son salt packets as a present.
While the video may be sad to watch, this is Orndorff’s current state. His spirits seem good, but his health is slipping.
On behalf of everyone at WNZ, our thoughts are with Paul Orndorff and his family. The legend has given so much to so many over the years, both in and outside that squared circle.
