There have been multiple reports stating that Trish Stratus is set to make a splashing WWE return. However, while she’s been at two RAW shows backstage, she has not appeared on either of them. What’s the deal?

Trish Stratus & WWE Update

According to reports, Stratus was supposed to make a return at both the Monday Night RAW on February 13th and 20th. In both shows, “creative plans” took place and Trish did not appear in either episode.

According to Fightful, Stratus was set to participate in the Ding Dong Hello/Bayley segment. She was backstage that night and was even in the late rundowns of the show.

However, due to a “creative” change in plans, she did not show up and was sent home. Lita and Becky Lynch ended up on the segment, issuing a challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Titles.

Trish Stratus & WWE Update – Everything’s Still A Go

Fightful notes the WRKD Wrestling Twitter account recently states Trish is still on her way to a return. The social media handle encourages fans to “be patient” and that she’s currently working on a storyline she’s wanted to do for a while.

Fightful reveals that after conferring with sources, they’ve found out that a program has been planned as of last week that involves Becky Lynch and other “high-level” talent. No link between Trish Stratus has been confirmed, and whether this plan is still a go.

Meanwhile, the Fightful report also clearly notes that the relationship between Stratus and the WWE is on good terms. WNZ will continue to keep fans up to date on this developing story.

Speaking of Canadian superstars and the WWE, it’s great to see Hall of Famer Edge, back in the squared circle. It would be even better to see him with some gold around his waist during his last run with the company, so is that in the cards?

Edge’s Contract – Championships

Edge returning to the 2020 Royal Rumble has to be one of the most memorable events of that pay-per-view. At 49 years of age, he looks to be in the best shape of his life.

Wouldn’t it be great to see Edge win a WWE Championship during this final run? According to a report, this likely won’t happen.

No Gold In Edge’s Future

As per WrestlingBlog, a Twitter account, there’s a reason why Edge hasn’t won a championship so far since he came back and won’t in the near future.

This is because of some conditions he signed in his contract. One stipulation was NOT to place a title on him.

Edge had many different goals with his WWE comeback. One was to give back to his fans, as they waited so long (and didn’t expect) a comeback.

With that said, he also wanted to work with newer talent and help them “grow”. Helping the future of the company and ensuring their success before his, is admirable.

Edge made an announcement in 2022 that this year, he would “officially” retire. With that said, he did state during the Elimination Chamber post-even press conference that he does want his last match to be in Canada, but didn’t give a firm date.
