In some perhaps surprising news, Triple H once looked out for some young talents. Plus, could we see The Elite back at Full Gear?
Triple H Looked Out For Young Talent
In spite of a reputation, it seems Triple H looked out for some key young talent back in the day.
Over the years, Hunter had been given a reputation for burying talent. That reputation, justified or not, looks a lot different with this tidbit.
In a post on TJR Wrestling, we take a trip back in time…for a time when Triple H looked out for young talents.
Specifically, Randy Orton and Batista.
Back then, the two were budding Superstars, not yet on the level we know them for.
Aligned with a stable led by Triple H and Ric Flair, Hunter took note of the locker room scene.
Specifically, he realized that most of the guys in the back weren’t too happy with the meteoric rise, and specifically the great opportunity the two young talents had been given.
In short, many in the back wanted to bury Orton and Batista.
And while Hunter may or may not deserve a reputation for burying talent in the ring, he made sure to look out for his partners.
Honestly, I can’t say I am too surprised.
For every future Hall of Famer we are watching now, there is a grizzled veteran or two who are looking out for them.
As many times as we hear horror stories of stars being nasty to the young guys, they are not all bad.
Elite Back At Full Gear?
It’s been an interesting few months for them…but could we see The Elite back at Full Gear in short order?
The group-Kenny Omega and Young Bucks-were last seen in the ring becoming the first-ever AEW Trios Champions.
However, they never got to defend the titles.
The three were stripped of the belts and suspended as part of the aftermath of All Out.
That fallout also saw CM Punk stripped of his newly regained AEW Championship and suspended.
Those four, among other talents, have not been seen since.
In recent weeks, fans have been seeing teasers that seem to be laying the groundwork for a return of The Elite.
We’ve had no news about if or when any AEW suspensions will be ending.

It has been suspected that the investigation, however serious it was, is nearing it’s conclusion.
At the same time, there has been a buzz that AEW may buy out CM Punk, and that certain stars would not work with him if he were to return.
But those teasers? Those teasers seem to hint at Death Triangle “deleting” The Elite.
And, according to the Wrestling Observer, the current plans in place point to Omega and the Bucks returning to challenge Death Triangle for the Trios titles at Full Gear.
It would be an interesting return, for sure. And, coming back and going right after the titles they never lost?
That would seem to indicate that the AEW investigation is placing blame on Punk and the since-released Ace Steel.
