Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have a length history, so the NXT Champion shared a special message as tonight might their last time together working for the same company. Also, Triple H is sorely missed in NXT.

Ciampa and Gargano have history that dates back before their time in NXT. Eventually, both made it to WWE and they formed the team DIY.
They found success by winning the tag titles. Then, Ciampa turned heel as the team split.
The result would be a feud that lasted well over a year. They fought in brutal bouts, with the NXT Championship sometimes being up for grabs.
They were booked in a match which would end the feud for good. Gargano won by turning heel in the process.
In several hours, they will team again as part of the Men’s WarGames. The match will close the show and features Team Old School (Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne & LA Knight) vs Team New School (Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo & Grayson Waller).
Gargano signed a short extension with WWE as his original deal expired a few days ago. His wife his pregnant, so Gargano has a big decision to make.
Like many, he would be buried on the main roster. WWE is pushing to keep him, so maybe they offered a deal where he can stay in NXT.
The ending of the match, if it involves Gargano, will be very telling of his future.
Triple H Missed
WWE used the developmental system for well over a decade. It produced some of the past and current superstars.
Then, they decided to change things up. They cut ties with Florida Championship Wrestling and Ohio Valley Wrestling as they created NXT.
Basically, Triple H was allowed to run the brand and he did a great job. Currently, Triple H is resting following a heart issue.
He has been spotted, but it seems like Shawn Michaels and other are running the show. Although, Triple H is sorely missed.
Former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez had high praise for Triple H when speaking with The Wrestling Inc. Daily.
“He is the most amazing influence and person to have here,” said Gonzalez. “Especially on Tuesdays and especially at PPVs like WarGames.”
“We do miss him a lot but we hope that he’s getting well and everything’s going good with his recovery, and it’s a full recovery.”
Whatever happens with Triple H, Gonzalez knows he is responsible for making NXT a success.
“But I will say the team that we have, has always been a part of Triple H’s as well,” said Gonzalez. “So Triple H being the peanut butter [to NXT’s jelly], he’s never only been the one person of peanut butter.”
“We have Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom, Road Dogg, Scotty Armstrong, Terry Taylor, Norman, Scotty 2 Hotty, all these coaches.”
She also praised Lance Storm and Steve Corino for their assistance.
