The Four Unique Matches WWE Should Revisit!

Many wrestlers come up with great ideas for matches, just think about Chris Jericho and Money in the Bank. Unfortunately, not all those matches become a success, and this is often than not caused by the execution of it.

Today, it is time to revisit some of those match concepts the WWE failed at, but if revisited could become big! Curious what we came up with? Read on to find out!

The Ambrose Asylum

Fantastic concept, but poorly executed, the Ambrose Asylum never stood a chance! However, the idea is absolutely brilliant and certainly demands a revisit.

The reason why I am excited about this match is the comedy aspect that accompanies it. There is also the prospect of weapons that could be used during the match, so this would be a win-win if executed the right way! How could a match that involved a potted plant and thumbtacks not be a success?

The Lion’s Den

Unfortunately, wrestling has come to a point where submissions seem boring to the majority of viewers. Wrestling fans want stuff to be exciting and quick paced all the time, but this does not mean that there is no room for submissions at all. Just think about the Lion’s Den match!

The Lion’s Den match is remarkably similar to a Hell in a Cell match, but with some minor differences. Opponents can win by escaping the steel cage, but also by pinning or submitting their opponent. Therefore, this is a match where submission could prove extremely useful! It could also make submission specialists among wrestlers shine!

The Championship Scramble

Not many people remember the Championship Scramble because the concept failed miserably. However, like the Ambrose Asylum, it was the execution of this concept that ultimately led to its failure.

Comparable to the Royal Rumble, the Championship Scramble involved two wrestlers starting to match, with one new wrestler joining the fray every 5 minutes. The maximum number of participants in this match is 5. The winner would be the wrestler who scored the last pinfall before the bell rings.

Naturally, this type of match offers a lot of possibilities. No matter how many times one wrestler scores a pinfall, if it was not the last one before the bell, then that wrestler could still lose. It adds a whole new layer to becoming WWE Champion. Plus this match gave us this immortally weird moment:

Tornado Tag Team Matches

Even though the Tornado Tag Team Matches are not completely removed from WWE television, there is a serious lack of them compared to other tag team formats.

During a Tornado Tag Team Match, all wrestlers are in the ring at the same time; this means there is no need for tagging. However, some critics claim that Tornado Tag matches are not genuine tag team matches. Well, they just spoil the fun to be honest, since I find this one of the more interesting tag team matches to watch.

Which matches would you bring back if you had the power in the WWE? Would it be one of these matches, or do you have your own ideas? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
