Is Undertaker Backstage For The PPV?

‘- There is no word on what will close Survivor Series. At one point, the plan was for Ronda Rousey to headline against Becky Lynch. Outside of two previous events, this would have been only the third time the ladies close the show. The first was Hell in a Cell between Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks with other going to Rousey and Nikki Bella at Evolution.

After Becky Lynch suffered a broken nose and concussion in the closing segment on RAW, WWE had to change their plans. Becky gave her spot to Charlotte on SmackDown and now those two wrestling pioneers will meet at tonight’s Survivor Series. Charlotte vs. Rousey is no longer in the running for WrestleMania 35. Instead, WWE has discussed booking Becky vs. Rousey again as the possible main event for the biggest show of the year.

If the closing spot does not go to the female superstars, the second guess is WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. That was also made at Tuesday’s SmackDown when Bryan turned heel to help capture the title from AJ Styles. Both superstars enter the match as heels. 

– Speaking of Survivor Series, a few months ago Undertaker was rumored for the event. After losing to Triple H at Super Show-Down and then against Shawn Michaels & Triple H at Crown Jewel, some thought the angle would continue into Survivor Series. Michaels vs. Undertaker was mentioned as a possibility, but Triple H’s pectoral tear at Crown Jewel could have changed plans. After the match in Saudi Arabia, Michaels spoke to WWE and seemed to suggest that his return inside the ring was a one and done type deal.

While Undertaker was in the area of California’s Staple Center yesterday, he has already boarded a plane and will not be at the event he debuted at over 25 years ago.
