‘-In November, WWE surprised many fans and viewers by starting to air vignettes for Lars Sullivan. While many probably figured that a behemoth such as Lars Sullivan was destined for the main roster, few expected it so soon. Initially, it was expected that Sullivan would debut across both brands as a monstrous free agent. Word now is, however, that plans have changed.
With the McMahon family now in control of both RAW and SmackDown, several prominent programs are either scrapped or delayed. One such program that has been scuttled was the aforementioned Lars Sullivan free agent tour. Several sources, including Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, are reporting that Sullivan’s debut will be limited to one brand. His debut is expected either shortly before the Royal Rumble, or perhaps at the Rumble itself.
One thing that has not been changed is the expected push. Vince McMahon is supposedly very high on Lars Sullivan, and once the Freak arrives on the main roster, expect a major push.
-In case you didn’t know, tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW was already taped. WWE decided to be nice and give the crew off for Christmas Eve (and did the same for SmackDown on Christmas). Tonight’s RAW was actually taped last week, immediately after the live RAW went off the air. Spoilers are available online.
Here’s the lineup for the Christmas Eve edition of RAW:
Elias versus Bobby Lashley-Miracle on 34th Street Fight
Roode and Gable versus The Revival-RAW Tag Title defense
Sasha Banks, Bayley and Ember Moon versus Mickie James, Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox
Finn Balor, Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler in a triple threat match
Paul Heyman cuts a promo about Lesnar versus Strowman at the Rumble
Heath Slater returns to being an active Superstar, fighting Jinder Mahal
Seth Rollins takes on Baron Corbin.
And, with everything else going on, perhaps an appearance by Santa as well!
