Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens are fighting it out for the Money in the Bank briefcase at Summerslam. If Owens takes the win on this match, then Kevin Owens becomes the new Mr. Money in the Bank. So, will the Monster in the Bank retain? Or does Kevin Owens have an evil master plan at the ready? Let’s see what the experts think!

Personally, I don’t see the point of this match. You don’t need to give these guys anything to do, and the card is stacked as is. The point here is to throw fans off on if Braun will cash-in. As for defending his contract? Just a reason to get people further intrigued in the match. Unless they have something else planned for Strowman, I don’t forsee Owens winning. If anything we may see a DQ finish where Owens attacks and hampers Strowman so much that it ‘eliminates him’ from cashing in.

To echo the sentiments of my colleagues, this match only exists to make fans question whether “Mr. Monster in the Bank” Braun Strowman will be able to cash in during the Universal Championship match later in the night. I don’t at all expect Strowman to lose the briefcase here, but Owens could (appear to) successfully incapacitate him. My preferred outcome is for Strowman to leave Brooklyn with the Universal Title while Brock disappears forever into never-never land.

Expect Kevin Owens to lose and for Braun Strowman to keep his Money in the… excuse me, “Monster” In The Bank briefcase, if for no other reason than fans will be intrigued wondering if he will cash it on Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns (should he win) at SummerSlam or any other time. Kevin Owens continues to be a great heel, and Strowman continues to be over as one of Raw’s top fresh babyfaces, but this match seems kind of thrown together and an excuse to get both men on the show.
