It’s time for another RAW In A Nutshell, and this time around the red brand is in Greensboro, preparing for Backlash!
Of course, Backlash is this Sunday…which is a day with no other significance…right?
(Hint…best to have your Mother’s Day gifts at the ready…).
After an eventful Nutshell last week, what with the expected return of Asuka and the more surprising one by Mustafa Ali…what do we have in store tonight?
Well, we are in Greensboro…and since it is this weekend, we are preparing for Backlash…so I’d expect some final hype.
Reigns and The Usos are expected, preparing for their six man tag against RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre.
Rollins and Rhodes are prepping for another clash, too…and the crowds are eating up the American Nightmare.
Becky Lynch has a new friend to play with, since Asuka came back…so there’s that too.
See, it’s going to be a busy Monday with all the Superstars preparing for Backlash, so let’s not delay any further…
It’s time for…
RAW In A Nutshell: Greensboro Preparing For Backlash!
Let’s crack open this Nutshell and see how things unfold!
Best Match of the night:
Honestly, after three hours…I couldn’t pick one that just wowed me.
I will say I think the opening segment was the best.
Worst match of the night:
The 24/7 match? Or maybe Lashley and Cedric?
Star of the Night
Truth was funny (but, he is also an a Squire…).
Happy birthday to The Rock.
Not sure what else I have here…
Spot of the Night:
Asuka delivered a hip attack to Sonya Deville, sending her outside to a waiting Liv Morgan, who delivered the double knees to the face (a code breaker by any other name?).
Jobber of the Night:
Whatever that kid from Greensboro was named….who got fed to Veer.
Upset of the Night:
Not a match…a person…specifically, someone who lost her authority…
Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:
Wow, Nikki A.S.H. did something eventful tonight. She briefly won the 24/7 title
Botch of the night:
Not a botch in the usual sense.
First, they cut off Mustafa Ali’s music early.
Then, they’ve apparently (intentionally) given him a dead mic.
On top of that, Miz insists on calling him “Moost”.
Now I know it was done on purpose…but in this day and age of mis-naming people and using wrong pronouns and such…not the best move?
LOL Moment of the night:
I couldn’t toss this in as a botch…but…
Before he went away…WWE ditched the Mustafa from Mustafa Ali. And then tonight, he was wearing an Ali shirt.
So either, re-do the merch, or change it.
Cody with the sweet Johnny Polo reference!
Noteworthy Moment:
I shall leave this here:

Overall lowlights:
The whole point of the 24/7 title was to have random, sometimes goofy, but spontaneous matches.
Having them scheduled and announced and with “24/7 rules suspended” is just…pointless.
Did not like the main event. Not that it was a bad match, it was just a weird one to drop in the main event slot of a go-home show.
Overall highlights:
I liked the opening segment
Truth makes me tolerate the 24/7 time, because while it’s largely filler…he is still entertaining.
Nice to see Liv Morgan get a win.
Cody and Seth will steal the show Sunday.
After the final bell:
Honestly, sometimes a g0-home show feels very in your face, pushing to remind you that hey….we have a big show this weekend.
While the red brand was indeed in Greensboro preparing for Backlash…I felt little to no urgency from a lot of the booking.
Like, honestly there were times I nearly had to double check to remind myself that yes, Backlash is this weekend.
Not good, but hopefully Sunday makes up for it.
