The Devil and his henchmen continue to wreak havoc in the land of AEW. As fans buzz with speculation, a major hint has emerged on who it could be.
Major Clue About AEW’s “The Devil”
The Devil continues to cause drama in AEW, hiding behind MJF’s mask. This remained to be true during AEW Dynamite’s “Winter Is Coming” episode.
Samoa Joe questioned Adam “Hangman” Page about the attacks after MJF was taken out with a beer bottle during last week’s show. Still, by the time the episode closed, any speculation of Page being the masked assailant was erased.
What Is CM Punk’s End Game With WWE NXT?
That’s because Page was attacked in the parking lot by the Devil henchmen. He tried to fight them off, but the was only one of him, and several of them.
After the Devil came out of a vehicle and gave his group a nod, the pack slammed Page through a car windshield. This felt like déjà vu, since fans and seen something similar recently.
Could Jack Perry Be AEW’s Devil?
For fans who recall, Jack Perry lost his FTW title at All In to HOOK, during the Zero Hour pre-show. At one point, he slammed him through a car windshield.
He’d then look directly into the camera, saying, “Real glass? Cry me a River”. The statement was a shot at CM Punk, who wouldn’t allow Perry to use real glass during a similar spot on AEW’s Collision show.
At that point in time, Punk had creative input on the brand. Regardless, Perry’s statement caused an incident backstage between him.
The backstage clash resulted in the termination of Punk’s AEW contract, while Perry was suspended. It’s important to note that Jack’s suspension with the company is officially over, so he could return at any time.
Meanwhile, CM Punk made a splashing return to WWE, this past November. Only time will tell if the Dynamite segment was a swerve for fans, or if Jack Perry is “The Devil”.
