Bray Wyatt’s last WWE program was with LA Knight. The star recently talks about being in the legend’s final match and it felt weird.
LA Knight’s Thoughts On Final WWE Match With Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt passed away at the age of 36 this past August 2023, and the wrestling world continues to mourn a legend. LA Knight recently conducted an interview where he talks about being in the Eater of Worlds’ final match.
Wyatt defeated Knight during their “Pitch Black” match at the 2023 Royal Rumble premium live event (PLE). Mountain Dew sponsored the bout and it featured face paint and neon weapons.
Without knowing it at the time, this would end up being Bray’s last wrestling match on WWE programming. A serious illness saw him being taken off television some weeks later.
Bray would be out of action and miss WrestleMania 39 last year, too. Much to every fan’s shock, Wyatt then passed away in August.
LA Knight Talks Bray Wyatt Match
While chatting with In The Kliq podcast, Knight notes that he doesn’t dwell on the 2023 Royal Rumble match because it’s a “weird” thing to consider, and “celebrate”. He goes on to say he wishes he wasn’t Bray’s last match.
Still, despite the sadness that now surrounds this bout for Knight, he states he was grateful he got the opportunity to work with Bray. Knight notes that at the time, he knew Bray was a guy who could handle himself in the situation, and he wanted to help put a spotlight on him, for his return, which he did.
Even though their program came to an end on television, they continued to fight it out during WWE live events. Their last match, before Bray got sick and took time off, occurred at an untelevised house show in Rockford, Illinois on February 26, 2023.
This would end up being Wyatt’s last wrestling bout ever. The two battled it out in a “Lights Out” Street Fight.
