‘- Long time friends and enemies Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were recently featured in vignettes that started they were returning “soon.” Despite WWE’s choice of wording, neither is expected back until February according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
In June and August, Zayn underwent a pair of surgeries on both his torn rotator cuffs. Then in October, Owens underwent double knee surgery. Oddly enough, both were working programs with Bobby Lashley; but the injuries had nothing to do with Lashley. Zayn and Owens had been dealing with lingering injuries for over a year.
While they are expected back in February, no word if WWE will wait until after April’s WrestleMania 35 to being them back to TV. Considering the lack of main event level wrestlers on the roster, there is a good chance they will work the show.
“The good news is that by publicizing them now, it would seem to indicate they may have something for them as far as a WrestleMania story,” said Meltzer. “Before, with their injuries, while both were expected back in time for Mania, they may have not started back until after since the stories for Mania would be in place.”
– Ever since Becky Lynch started The Man gimmick, her popularity as skyrocketed and she caught the attention of UFC’s top star Conor McGregor.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion recently worked with McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh at the Straight Blast Gym in Ireland. The following few pictures of Becky training were uploaded on Twitter. Also, McGregor sent Becky bottles of his Proper Twelve Whiskey; which has been a hit and was sold-out at one point. You never know if McGregor might make a WWE appearance.
While the rest of the division is on break and painting each others toenails, The Man is back around Dublin teaching and learning, working and improving. Any 1% chance Ronnie had of beating me is gone. My Christmas will be smashing that little weirdo in 2019. pic.twitter.com/DsfmXbm52O
