‘- Apparently, WWE planed on booking John Cena vs. Lars Sullivan for WrestleMania 35. But, something occurred in the past week with Sullivan not working RAW or SmackDown. There is a rumor that Sullivan suffered an anxiety attack and left the arena before either show started according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

There were several reports that Sullivan was going to be getting a major push when he debuted on the main roster. There have been vignettes of Sullivan airing for about a month now.

While there is no word on Sullivan’s future, it will be interesting to see if he has any role at the Royal Rumble. The belief was Sullivan would debut at the Royal Rumble to start a program with Cena.

– Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Adam Page turned down WWE offers for All Elite Wrestling (AEW), but not before the world’s largest wrestling promotion pulled out all the stops. 

They were all promised big money deals by WWE that would allow them to leave the promotion after six months if they were not happy. Negations between WWE and the names listed above lasted for around 12 hours before a final decision was made.

Kenny Omega is also rumored to have turn down WWE and is expected to sign with AEW in the coming weeks. First, Omega needs to wait for his New Japan Pro Wrestling contact to expire at the end of the month. Omega could officially start with AEW on February 1.

Despite AEW not holding any events, there has been lots of buzzing about them changing the wrestling business. They have the talent with their current roster like Chris Jericho and money from Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan. Now, it is time to see if they create something that works. It will be an interesting few months for the entire business.
