Former WWWF World Heavyweight Champion Ivan Koloff has passed away at age 74. PWInsider stated he had been battling liver cancer.
Koloff is best known for ending the almost eight year reign of Bruno Sammartino at the famous Madison Square Garden. He held the belt for only 21 days, dropping it to Pedro Morales.
It’s been a sad week in wrestling; also losing Nicole Bass and George “The Animal” Steele.
