Living only a couple of minutes away from Manchester, this is a real treat for me personally. The WWE is no longer the only one with their eye on international expansion since Impact has now announced they will be holding an event in Manchester. Here are the details!
New Event After Three-Year Hiatus
Watching Impact Wrestling and living in the United Kingdom is not the ideal combination since the company has not held a live event in the United Kingdom for a whole three years. However, this is now set to change with the arrival of Impact vs. the UK.
The event will take place at Wrestling MediaCon in Manchester on Sunday, September 9th at 5 pm. Impact confirmed several matches are already signed, with one of the most notable being clash between Sami Callihan and Britain’s own Jimmy Havoc.
In addition to the Sami Callihan and Jimmy Havoc match, IMPACT announced a few other bouts:
- LAX versus Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm for the Impact Tag Team Championship
- Eli Drake versus Joe Hendry
- Su Yung versus Lana Austin
- Rich Swann versus Matt Sydal versus Trevor Lee
More matches are set to be added to the card with Eddie Edwards, Austin Aries, and Moose all rumored to be involved.
Live Stream on Twitch
Cannot attend the event in person? No problem, because Impact decided to live stream the entire show on Twitch. The upcoming card in Manchester is not the only Impact Wrestling you can enjoy on Twitch since most of their regular tapings are put on Twitch too.
Please note that the upcoming Manchester event will be a Twitch exclusive; this means you can only watch it there. That being said, there are probably some other media channels that will be streaming it, although I do not see the point since Twitch is free.
If you don’t mind the travel, or if you are a British fan like myself, tickets for Impact versus the UK are still available. Tickets are being sold on Ringside World. However, it seems like only standing tickets are left at this point.
