Brock Lesnar suffered a bit of a popularity hit after his last championship reign. However, according to Comicbook.com, it seems that this popularity hit is not only felt among WWE fans, because the WWE locker room is reportedly fed up with the preferential treatment The Beast is getting.
Lesnar Is Bulletproof
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the relationship between Brock Lesnar and WWE management is rubbing some talent in the locker room the wrong way.
WWE talent in the locker room is disgruntled with the fact Brock Lesnar is “Bulletproof.” The company provides The Beast with countless opportunities, while his in-ring work has been sub-par to say the least. A prime example of his sloppy in-ring work was clearly displayed on Monday Night RAW, when the Singh Brothers suffered some messy suplexes.
How Far Does the Locker Room Discontent Reach
Considering the nature of the WWE, it is not that easy for talent to speak openly about any complaints they have. So, it is impossible to confirm if the rumors regarding Lesnar are true at this point. Still, considering the title reigns and the part-time nature of Lesnar’s WWE career, it could be a “where there’s smoke there’s fire” situation.
Lesnar Versus The Rock Favorite Match for WrestleMania
Despite the fact that Brock Lesnar is not as popular among his fellow wrestlers or die-hard wrestling fans, he is an attraction when it comes to casual fans. At this point in time, Brock Lesnar versus The Rock has been listed as a possibility for WrestleMania 35. If the WWE is indeed planning this event, Lesnar could be holding the title for an excruciatingly long time.
Of course, the WWE has got limited choices since Roman Reigns announced he had to leave the promotion for some time to fight leukemia. Reigns was the WWE’s main attraction, a position that has not yet been filled by anyone else on the roster.
Despite the WWE’s willingness to back Lesnar, I believe there is enough talent on the current roster and certainly enough people that could carry that title. Finn Balor and Seth Rollins are two of my favorites, but the list is non-exhaustive. We could even get Elias as the Universal Champion! Unfortunately, it seems we may get a repeat reign for Brock Lesnar until WrestleMania.
