We can debate the significance all we want, but Bobby Lashley nears a major milestone. Plus, there was a curious NXT teaser during Tuesday’s Great American Bash.
Bobby Lashley Nears Milestone
Yes, it may be scripted, but Bobby Lashley nears a major milestone of sorts.
The note comes courtesy of WrestleOps.
.@fightbobby is now approaching close to ONE FULL YEAR without being pinned on @WWE TV.
The last time he took a pin-fall loss on TV was from Big E in September of last year.
Let’s keep that streak going for as long as possible. pic.twitter.com/pTxn3jtTv5

That is a sneaky thing, honestly, because such a streak without a loss has flown under the radar.
It seems like the streak could be ending later this month, if WWE opts to put the United States Championship back on Theory.
However, considering Theory has the briefcase, putting the title back on him doesn’t make much sense.
It is entirely possible then, that Lashley could get to September of 2022 and make it a full year…or more.
Lashley is just one small push away from being a main event threat once again.
After all, he dropped his title to Brock Lesnar before WrestleMania…but he never actually lost. He was removed from the match due to injury.
Brock and Roman dance once more in Nashville in a few weeks. From there, we expect Drew McIntyre to challenge whomever next, maybe.
But, while there is plenty of talk about who could be next…Bobby Lashley is quietly biding his time, more and more deserving of another big title shot soon.
Going a year or more without being pinned is a good way to support that worthiness.
NXT Teaser During Great American Bash
Fans are used to having hints and such, and we have one for the main roster now too. But, there was a curious NXT teaser during Tuesday’s Great American Bash.
Full disclosure, as a security conscious person, I don’t go crazy for scanning QR codes.
But, those elsewhere did, and here’s what we are looking at:

Admittedly, it is a bit of an odd sequence.
If we are talking in terms of time, it is a very specific one-down to 11 seconds.
However, if it is a date…well…it’s not the correct format for that, and as we are in 2022…it’s a puzzle.
Speculation, fed by Wrestling Inc and other sites, has people wondering a few things.
Could this mean special shows on August 10th and 11th? Possibly.
Or, perhaps a Sunday TakeOver, in August, if we assume 8 for August and 10+11 for Sunday the 21st?
It’s a stretch, but people like to guess.
Or, is this the tease for some new Superstar or stable? Perhaps something tied to Hunter’s return?
After all, NXT has seen quite a few Superstars show up lately, between new Performance Center graduates and NXT UK transfers.
It generated a bit of a buzz, so if nothing else, WWE has gotten people talking.
Which means, whenever we see more for this…it might be a big bag of nothing.
