The latest backstage news has Bayley returning inside a WWE ring within 30 days. Also, an update on Drew McIntyre and his neck as we get close to WrestleMania 38.

Backstage News On Bayley Returning

Over the summer, WWE had most of their wrestlers get a refresher course at the Performance Center. It was met with complaints and the biggest takeaway was Bayley getting hurt.

In mid July, Bayley tore her ACL. With an injury like that, it usually means about nine months away, if not longer.

Therefore, she would be good to get back in the ring in the middle of February. Now, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Baley could be back by February.

Earlier in the day, we noted how Sasha Banks will likely miss WrestleMania 38. She suffered a foot injury and will be out six to eight weeks.

Initially, WWE wanted Bank vs Charlotte Flair at the biggest show of the year. If that is scrapped, WWE might be able to swap Bayley for Banks considering their past.

Of course, Bayley and Banks have been best friends and bitter rivals in WWE. They have fought inside Hell in a Cell, NXT and the main roster.

Last time fans saw Bayley, she was still the heel. Bayley was supposed to enter a feud with then champion Bianca Belair, but plans had to be changed.

Drew McIntyre – Injury Update

Drew McIntyre is out of action with a neck injury. Currently, the extend of the injury has not been disclosed.

Now, the former two time WWE Champion will likely miss the Royal Rumble according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. But, they continued how he should be good to go for WrestleMania 38 on April 2nd and 3rd.

WWE wrote McIntyre off TV at the Day 1 pay per view. He was attacked backstage by Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss.

For McIntyre, the Royal Rumble will always be special. He won the Rumble in 2020, which started a huge push.

McIntyre made noise two years ago when he eliminated Brock Lesnar from the match. Up until that point, Lesnar was manhandling the match.

From that point forward, it was clear WWE had big plans for McIntyre. He would defeat Lesnar on the second night of WrestleMania 36 for his first title reign.

Sadly, McIntyre’s massive push began only months before lockdowns started due to the pandemic. Therefore, that special moment and title run were never seen by live fans in attendance.

If McIntyre is cleared for WrestleMania 38, there is no word on his opponent.
