Mercedes Mone has been a prime fixture for AEW since her debut in March 2024 and the CEO has been the TBS Champion since her first match in the company. She recently walked out of AEW’s latest pay-per-view, Revolution, still champion.

The CEO clashed against the STARDOM star, Momo Watanabe, with her TBS title on the line. While she walked away victorious, Mercedes Mone might have been banged from the intense in-ring showdown.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez revealed that while no major injuries happened, some members of the locker room failed to walk way unscathed.

In regards to Mercedes Mone, Alvarez stated that she suffered a bruised larynx. According to him, it took place when Momo Watanabe took her down with a quick to the neck.

“What I heard was bruised larynx on Mercedes, but, I mean, she was backstage and seemed to be largely okay,” stated Alvarez.

Furthermore, the duo also revealed that Watanabe also got injured. She reportedly left on crutches after hurting her ankle.

While the injuries’ statuses are yet to be officially addressed by AEW, one thing remains certain. Mercedes Mone is still the TBS Champion, extending her long reign. The CEO has taken down many top names like Britt Baker, Willow Nightingale, and Mina Shirakawa.
