Dustin Rhodes’ Mysterious X Posts Suggests AEW Tenure Done: Is Rejoining Cody Rhodes in WWE Next?

Some new posts on X give the impression that Dustin Rhodes’ time in AEW is at an end.

When he is ready to accept induction, Dustin Rhodes is a no-doubt future WWE Hall-of-Famer. The son of the iconic Dustin Rhodes and brother of WWE champ Cody Rhodes had had a fascinating career in the sport. After taking on the difficult role of being a second-generation star for WCW in his father’s shadow, his career went in a wild direction in WWE.

The character of Goldust is one of the most well-remembered of the 1990s. And was a couple of decades ahead of its time. The character was controversial but was backed by a talented in-ring worker. It helped to make it iconic. While his runs in the company did not go as well as hoped, he is still a WWE legend in the eyes of many fans.

However, his current stint in AEW has reinvigorated his career. The 55-year-old is in great shape for his age and has been a useful asset on the roster. But there have been reports that his contract is set to expire and he and the company don’t seem close on a new deal. Well, it seems like a final decision was made.

“Thank you for allowing me into your homes and lives. You have treated me well! I love yall,” Rhodes wrote on X, formerly Twitter, over the weekend.

The message comes after a pair of interesting posts on the platform with Rhodes mentioning the importance of loyalty to him. “I believe in Loyalty. I have chosen my small circle of people with precision. Had many before and learned hard lessons. Find yours and I hope you get one like me,” he wrote.

Rhodes has been open about his desire to keep wrestling and that he is not ready to retire yet. However, the sand is almost out of his career hourglass. Now, seems like a perfect time for one last memorable run with his brother in WWE. Furthermore, WWE’s ID program could really help take his new Rhodes Wrestling Academy to new heights if it was affiliated with the program.
