As WWE is no longer affiliated with the FOX Network, could AEW leave Warner Bros Discovery and sign a television deal there?

We’ve been hearing the AEW television deal is coming “any day now”. Or, it’s been imminent. But it’s been imminent for so long, I don’t think whomever called it imminent grasped that word’s meaning. Seriously, when first we heard a deal between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery was happening, CM Punk still liked and worked with Tony Khan.
We continue to hear word that the long-expected television deal is close. Over the weekend surrounding All Out, WBD sources were asked and responded that negotiations are ongoing and things are fine. But there was an additional wrinkle in the mix, per a report from Fightful. In that report, there was apparently a new AEW show trademarked (maybe), called Shockwave. On top of that, there are whispers that this particular new effort might be outside of the scope of an AEW/WBD deal.
That was a year ago
Instead, the new show, if it happens, could be destined for FOX. As it so happens, as of just a few days ago, FOX has an opening in it’s wrestling offerings. And this would not be the first time that the company actually wanted to add to it’s wrestling catalog. At one point it was said to be interested in adding MLW content to one of it’s channels, but the deal got shot down. The company was also rumored to be a suitor for WWE when the company was on the market, but obviously that never happened.
Now, with WWE gone, it seems there is at least some possibility of some AEW programming landing on a FOX-owned network. That could be FOX itself, or perhaps the more sports-centric FS1? In any case, it seems like the broadcasting company may not be without wrestling content for long. So, will AEW make a television deal with the FOX Network?
