After WWE opted not to re-sign MVP or Bobby Lashley, it was only a matter of time before they found a new home. Many figured AEW because they can offer larger contracts than anyone in the United States, outside of WWE. As for overseas, maybe NJPW could put the money together, but it likely would force both to move and that unlikely.

Prince Nana was at Dynamite this past Wednesday, proving an update on Swerve Strickland after losing to “Hangman” Adam Page. Before he could finish, MVP debuted and hinted at Swerve needing new representation. If you focus on the card MVP has, it states “Hurt Syndicate.” That is very name that has been swirling about a stable forming in AEW, which would be similar to The Hurt Business. Therefore, Lashley will be joining and maybe they look to add Swerve.

Ibou of WrestlePurists has reported Lashley will debut in October. No specific date was given, but with WrestleDream on October 12, that would make sense. It is only a matter of time, with AEW needing to decide if the reveal is pay per view worthy or use it to boost TV ratings.

In WWE, The Hurt Business got over really well. In the beginning, the stable did not seem like it would be a hit, but slowly it grew. While Shelton Benjamin could sign with AEW to rejoin his friends, Cedric Alexander will not be there. Cedric re-signed with WWE and still has a few years left. Still, three out of four original members is not bad. So, how will the Hurt Syndicate with Bobby Lashley and MVP do in AEW?
