When it comes to edgier content, AEW easily beats WWE. Although, AEW is known to go too far at times. For instance, there is no need for Darby Allin trying to light someone on fire. At All Out, there were a few matches on the hardcore side. In particular, the Lights Out Steel Cage Match between Swerve Strickland and Adam Page has people talking.
The end saw Page win, finally getting a victory over Strickland in their fourth bout. We saw a hypodermic needle, cinderblock, staple guns and an unprotected chair shot the head. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted how those backstage were “freaking out.” From start to finish, what a scary contest that should never be duplicated.
Swerve Strickland And Adam Page Went Too Far

After such as sickening affair, you know someone will try to top it in AEW. Here, is where the danger falls. AEW has shown fans something violent and they will want more. I fear, we are about to see someone lit on fire. This is what happens after going too far. It is very stressful to watch something dangerous and not be able to do anything to help. Sometimes, you just want to yell at Tony Khan.
I have no idea how either wrestler will be booked next. Honestly, AEW might want to keep both off TV for at least a month to really sell everything. They will probably wrestle again, but hopefully it will not be barbaric. So, do you think Swerve Strickland and Adam Page was overboard?
