Get a round of bold UFC predictions for the promotion’s next card, UFC 300, this Saturday.

The premier name in mixed martial arts will set up in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena for UFC 300. The promotion hopes that this landmark event will serve as a victory lap for taking over the world of combat sports while looking towards the future for continued success.

With that in mind, the UFC wasted no effort in stacking the card with a who’s who of the roster. UFC 300 is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight, co-headlined by a strawweight championship bout, and features a fan-friendly matchup with a symbolic belt on the line.

The rest of the card is packed with former champions and the Octagon debut of a two-time PFL tournament winner.

Here are some bold predictions for UFC Vegas 300.

Bold UFC Vegas 300 predictions

Alex Pereira (9-2) vs. Jamahal Hill (12-1)

Don’t let the underwhelmed immediate response to the booking of Alex Periera and Jamahal Hill in the main event fool you. This is perhaps the single best fight that the UFC can put together at 205 pounds. Alex Periera looks to continue his incredible fast run toward all-time UFC greatness while Jamahal Hill wants to reclaim the belt that he never lost in the cage.

Hill would be wise to force “Poatan” into a wrestling battle. However, if we are to believe his pre-fight claims then he intends on testing the Glory Kickboxing Hall of Famer in his comfort zone. That and the bad combination of Periera’s sneaky leg kicks and Hill’s freshly rehabbed Achilles will likely set up a fight-ending strike for the champion.

Weili Zhang (24-3) vs. Xiaonan Yan (17-3)

The first UFC title fight between Chinese fighters will serve as the co-main event for the evening. Xiaonan Yan has rebounded well since a two-fight skid halted her momentum after winning her first six in the Octagon.

Unfortunately for Yan, Weili Zhang does not leave her with much margin for error. With Zhang proving equally dangerous in all realms, Yan has a tough puzzle to solve. To make matters worse, there’s no one area that Yan will have a clear advantage in. Look for the champ to get this to the floor and make things miserable for Yan until the finish.

Justin Gaethje (25-4) vs. Max Holloway (25-7)

For all of the hype surrounding the BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway, the final product seems doomed to disappoint. Not because of a perceived lack of violence, but because the violence might be too jarring to be considered entertainment.

Max Holloway’s last trip to 155 pounds did not go well for the Hawaii native. The heavy hands of Dustin Poirier and the stubborn chin of Holloway made for a jaw-dropping viewing experience. In the five years since, Holloway has just taken more punishment, even in statistically dominant showcases like his 2021 scrap with Calvin Kattar.

Facing this improved version of Gaethje at this stage feels like a recipe for disaster. Look for “The Highlight” to mix his hard leg kicks and concussive punches with devastating effectiveness leading to Holloway’s first loss by strikes.

Charles Oliveira (34-9) vs. Arman Tsarukyan (21-3)

The number one contender fight between former champion Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan should be nothing short of a back-and-forth sampler platter of everything MMA has to offer.

As tough as Tsarukyan is, this is the sort of fight that “Do Bronx” does his best work in. That being said, his best work usually involves near finishes that he miraculously bounces back from to find victory. While it’s very possible that the Armenian seizes one of those opportunities, it’s hard to count out Oliveira in these scenarios. Either way, the crowd will be pleased.

Bo Nickal (5-0) vs. Cody Brundage (10-5)

There’s a reason why Bo Nickal made the leap from the Contender Series to a pay-per-view main card UFC debut: the promotion sees a potential star in the former collegiate wrestling champion.

It’s highly unlikely that Cody Brundage will throw a monkey wrench in those plans. Brundage, who has consistently been bested on the ground, will offer little to challenge the overwhelming betting odds against him.
