Carlos Prates earned one of the biggest wins of his career Saturday night. The red-hot welterweight scored a first round finish over Neil Magny in the main event of UFC Vegas 100 live on ESPN+.
During the post-fight press conference, though, Prates heard talk of those questioning his power. And also if maybe one of his fight-ending blows was illegal. He made sure to offer up his services to anyone wanting to challenge him.

“They should come here and let me give you a punch then after they can talk,” Prates said. “If get hit on the head, it is different than on the face. With the face, you get a little bit dizzy. On the head, you don’t feel nothing and go down. I think people talking (expletive) should let me hit their head and then they talk after.”
Since signing with the UFC earlier this year, “The Nightmare” has been perfect. He has finished all four of his opponents, including back-to-back wins via a left hook over Magny and Jingliang Li.
Prates also holds victories vs. Charles Radtke and Trevin Giles since earning his shot with a second round knockout of Mitch Ramirez on Dana White’s Contender Series. Overall, he is now 20-6.
“I train a lot of boxing,” he said. “As many as four times per week. Bro, my hand, when I punch you no matter where, you are gonna get hurt.”
Prates has not lost since 2019, reeling off 11 straight wins inside the cage. He also owns two wins in modified kickboxing matches since his decision defeat to Gadjimurad Abdulaev under the ONE Championship banner.
