Serghei Spivac capped off a less-than-memorable UFC Fight Night event with a quick submission win Saturday night.
Spivac asked for someone higher than him in the rankings for his next bout and received an answer immediately.

That came in the form of Jailton Almeida, who took to social media.
“Do you want someone above you in the rankings?” Almeida asked. “I’m here! I want to fight bro! Happy you get the finish early, so, we can fight soon!”
Upon hearing this during the post-fight press conference, Spivac replied with “Let him train.”
The win was the 17th for Spivac, who has scored eight submission victories in his career. He is now 4-1 over his last five fights and believes he is on the cusp of title contention.
Serghei Spivac Continues To Climb UFC Ladder
Despite not being as heavily known as others, Spivac is a winner. Since a 2021 loss to interim champion Tom Aspinall, he has finished four of his five opponents. Only a loss to Ciryl Gane has halted his momentum during that time.
Spivac lost two of his first three with the UFC but now stands at 8-4 overall with six finishes.
